Annual international clinical symposium

Over the past decades the symposium has become a major international scientific event in the Low Countries. A distinguished national and international faculty guarantees a high quality of presentations and content covering best clinical practice, results of the latest scientific research and illustrative cases.

Accreditation & tickets

Accreditation from the Dutch and Belgian neurological accreditation committees and from the societies of physcian for persons with intellectual disabilities (ABC1), pulmonologists, ENT-physicians, pediatricians, neurosurgeons, clinical neuropsychologists and nurse practitioners has been requested.

Medical specialists/academic researchers: ticket fee € 150,- (including accreditation points)
Other participants: ticket fee € 90,- (without accreditation)

Kempenhaeghe Research Award

On 20 March 2020 there will be a poster session for researchers to present their investigations. The scientific committee of will announce the winner of the ‘Kempenhaeghe Research Award 2020’.

– Your subject should be relevant to the research and development on epilepsy, sleep medicine or neurocognition
– Please send your abstract for approval before 21 February 2020
– Maximum size for posters is 70 cm wide and 100 cm
– Format is in line with scientific papers, i.e. using the paragraphs: introduction, methods, results, discussion.
– Authors of the approved posters are requested to visit the presentation desk in the registration area at 9.00 a.m.
– Posters should be attached using double-sided tape, which will be available in the poster area
– The winner of the award will be asked to give a short presentation (approximately 3 minutes).

Winner Kempenhaeghe Research Award 2019

Drs. J. (Jolanda) van Omme, onderzoeker en maatschappelijk werker bij Kempenhaeghe, had de eer om in juni 2019 de tweede Kempenhaeghe award in ontvangst te mogen nemen.

Haar onderzoek – dat zij op het symposium presenteerde in de vorm van een poster – richt zich op onderzoek naar de psychosociale problemen die kunnen spelen bij ouderen met epilepsie. Het is een literatuuronderzoek waarin onderzocht is wat er al bekend is rondom dit onderwerp. >>> lees verder
