Neurologist Marian Majoie performs a wide range of tasks in addition to her work in patient care.
As a professor of ‘Epilepsy, in particular the Education’ at Maastricht University, she is committed to scientific research and development of the training of (future) neurologists and other medical professionals in the field of epilepsy.
In Kempenhaeghe she is responsible for the Epilepsy (RGS) sub-stage.
She also fulfills from TriO – the body for research, development and training in Kempenhaeghe – the role of strategic advisor board of directors in the field of training.
In addition to her duties as neurologist in Kempenhaeghe, Marian Majoie has an honorary appointment in Maastricht UMC +, neurology department.
She also works as chairman of the national guideline for the epilepsy committee of the Dutch Society for Neurology and as chairman of SepiON, the Dutch Epilepsy Education Foundation to promote knowledge of professionals in epilepsy care.
Marian Majoie is coordinator (PI) science at the Academic Center for Epileptology and chair of the drug research group.
She supports many researchers as promoter in their PhD studies.
She is the initiator and coordinator of the ‘European partnership on high value conscious care and guideline development training program’ and initiator and coordinator of the same project on a national basis.
